“The more you do something, the easier gets.”
There has been countless times that giving up seems like the easier, less stressful solution to day-to-day roadblocks and or challenges. Even when things may be scary, confusing, or uncertain, pushing forward one step at a time will only make it easier and easier to get to your destination. Sometimes you may not always know the next step and that can be uncomfortable. This may feel uninvited to move forward, but no matter the obstacle, there is always potential to be resilient and brave.
This week's intentional practice:
1) Start with setting some obtainable goals for anything that would spark joy for you once achieved. Once you have them set, say to yourself out loud - “The more you do something, the easier it gets,” 3 times. Then set your mind to be intentional in that moment.
2). Just try! Regardless of what it is, there is a 50/50 percent chance that something will workout or gain success. If it doesn't work out, then it doesn't workout but, at least you tried. Put all doubts aside. Let those negative suckers fall to the wayside and only allow positivity to enter.
3). When the week starts to unfold and life gets busy, you may feel challenged or unmotivated to put forth action towards progressing in your week's goals. Take a pause. Get some fresh air for at least 5 minutes, do some self care and go back to where you left off on your to do list. Give it another go. You've got this!
4). Celebrate progress. Big or small, growth is growth. Say you were able to reach one goal on your list, that's still awesome! When you are able to learn something new about yourself, your career, work, school, relationships, ect.- it's progress! Remind yourself not to get discouraged if people don't see the growth, your growth is your growth-not anyone else's.
5). If you do get discouraged, overwhelmed, and feel as though you haven't made any dents in your goals… do not give up! You have the power to try again and remember “the more you do something, the easier it gets.”
6). Give yourself permission to be successful. Experiment and explore. It's okay to execute without a certain specific plan. Often times our way of thinking can hold us back from our amazing potential. Learn to cultivate a positive mindset upon any new season of challenges. No matter the challenge, it all leads to growth and development!
